41st District LOST by 37 Votes

Kerry Bolognese lost the Delegate race in the 41st district tonight by a mere 37 votes. I'm sure this will be contested, but as it stands tonight, Eileen Filler-Corn has won the election.

Kerry Bolognese Rally at FCRC Headquarters

Dear Fellow Virginians,

Please join me tomorrow, Saturday February 27th from 10-11AM at FCRC Headquarters 4246 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax 22030 at a rally for Kerry Bolognese.

It is essential that we work this weekend to elect our outstanding candidates in the March 2nd (next Tuesday!!) special elections. Kerry Bolognese (41st House of Delegates) and Samantha Rucker (Mason District School Board) are both principled conservatives, but they need our support in order to win.

By attending the rally and volunteering afterward - we can ensure that we increase our majority in the House of Delegates.

Don't forget, if you live outside Fairfax, you can help by calling from home. Please visit Fairfax GOP today to find out how you can help.

Thank you, and please respond to this email and let me know if we can count on you attending the rally tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Ken Cuccinelli II

Phone Bank for Kerry Bolognese

Dear Friend,

I have exciting news!

We now have the same capability for Remote Phone Banking that Scott Brown used successfully last month in Massachusetts.

If a Republican can win in Massachusetts with Remote Phone Banking, then we can definitely win with it in Fairfax County.

Go to www.RPV.org/HD41 and check it out now!

Please help Kerry Bolognese in the special election for District 41 by making 41 phone calls from your own home. All the data will be automatically saved and you don't have to write anything down.

After years of trailing the Democrats in technology, Republicans have finally caught up.

Simply go to www.RPV.org/HD41 and sign up. Once you sign up, log-in information will be sent to you via email - and you can call from the comfort of your home.

Kerry Bolognese ran for this same seat last year and only lost by 209 votes to an entrenched incumbent. Can you make 41 calls from home to help Kerry?

This special election on Tuesday, March 2nd will be all about turning out the Republican base. You making 41 phone calls will help put Kerry over the top in the 41st District this year.

Voters are tired of answering the phone to recorded messages. With only a few days left until the March 2nd special election, every personal phone call we make will have a huge impact.

Please go to www.RPV.org/HD41 right now and sign up.

Thank you,

Justin Shaffer

Local School Board members endorse Bolognese

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(West Springfield, VA) –Kerry Bolognese, the Republican nominee in the 41st District Special Election, received the endorsements of both Fairfax County School Board members representing the district. Liz Bradsher, the member for Springfield District, and Tessie Wilson, the member for Braddock District, both endorsed Bolognese as the best candidate for Fairfax County schools.

"Kerry Bolognese is a strong advocate for education in Fairfax County,” said Tessie Wilson. “Kerry's years of experience in higher education give him the unique insight on helping our children prepare for college and the work force.”

“Kerry Bolognese, a parent of three county graduates and now a grand parent with a grand child in Orange Hunt, has been personally invested in our county schools for years. He continues to be a caring member of our community and his experience in higher education will strengthen his efforts to bring more of our county tax dollars back to our schools and students,” said Liz Bradsher. “Kerry has been and continues to be invested in our schools, our community and county. He will be a strong advocate for all of us in Richmond.”

Bolognese is a Vice-President of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities, which serves public universities and research institutions in America, including George Mason, UVA and VirginiaTech. He has three children who graduated from Fairfax County High Schools, and a grandchild currently at Orange-Hunt Elementary.

“I’m proud to have the support of our local school board members,”said Bolognese. “I hope to have the opportunity to work them in keeping more of our Fairfax County tax dollars in our schools, rather than sending them downstate.”

The special election will be held Tuesday, March 2nd. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at their normal voting location.

The 41st District of the Virginia House of Delegates includes parts of Springfield, Burke and Fairfax Station. The seat became vacant when then-Delegate David Marsden was elected to the State Senate.

What Is On The Line In The 41st

Reposted from Mason Conservative because some things just need to be read.

I'm hearing that the state party is going to stay out of Kerry Bolognese's race to flip Dave Marsden's delegate seat, thinking that they already have a big enough majority. I couldn't be more unhappy about that if it true, Bolognese ran a true grassroots, shoe-leather campaign last fall and deserves to finish what he started, and he deserves to have the full support of the entire apparatus of the party. The county committee is firmly supporting Kerry.

What Bolognese needs is money and he needs people. There is more going on here than just a special elections, it effects the remarkable turnaround of Republican fortunes in Northern Virginia, and the upcoming 11th district congressional race that might be the last time we get a chance to take down Gerry Connolly. Losing the Cuccinelli seante seat and the possibly losing the 41st delegate district stifles the momentum we gained by our wins in three delegate districts and the incredible numbers racked up by our statewides.

Also, make no mistake about it, Gerry Connolly is involved in these races and he's working on building Democratic momentum going into his reelection and embarrassing Republicans, particularly Pat Herrity who has many overlapping areas of the 41st, as an attempt to depress Republican activism. I can't say that it will work, given the victories here in Virginia and New Jersey and Massachusetts, Republicans are about as fired up as I've ever seen. But if Bolognese can check the Democrats and flip a delegate seat he almost won by less that 200 votes just a few months ago, I truly believe it will help either Pat Herrity or Keith Fimian in defeating Connolly. We need to prove we can win on his turf, and a Bolognese win would be a body blow to Connolly's reelection and proof that Republicans do have the ground game and the message to win.

GO KERRY! I encourage everyone to go give money, and then maybe some time when you have it. We have to win this!
