Patricia Phillips for State Senate 2011 Edition

Patricia Phillips just send an e-mail to her list annoucing her bid for state senate. This should come as no surprise to people following Loudoun politics. Patricia is a proven grassroots conservative who has worked hard for conservative candidates and issues. Let's make sure she wins this cycle. Patricia is the candidate we need to defeat Mark Herring in 2011.

Stephens Miller ignores reality, attacks Rust's support for autism treatment

Delegate Tom Rust (R-86) was an advocate for a bill that would have required insurers to pay for therapy for children diagnosed with autism-spectrum disorders. So why is Stephens Miller distorting Tom Rust's record?

Does Tom hate puppies too? And lollipops? Maybe rainbows?

Miller's attack would be a lot more funny if it wasn't so desperately false. Consider the facts:

Rust attended a rally organized by the Autism Help Network in July to push for the legislation.

In February, the Washington Post's Loudoun Extra noted that "Many politicians representing Loudoun have been vocal in support of this legislation, including delegates Bob Marshall (R-13), David Poisson (D-32), Chuck Caputo (D-67), Tom Rust (R-86) and Joe T. May (R-33) and state senators Jill Holtzman Vogel (R-27) and Mark Herring (D-33)."

This month, the Virginia Autism Project just named Delegate Rust as a friend of their past and future efforts.

The kicker? Miller's name was not included on the list.

Urgent Pro-Life Action Needed

Just one phone call.   It's quick and easy and it may save a life.

I got this e-mail from the VSHL that needs to be acted on quickly to save unborn human life.

Senate Bill 1338, introduced by Sen. Mark R Herring (D-33 Leesburg), would promote state funding for research in biotechnology companies.

This bill has reached the floor of the Senate and contains no ethical safeguards to ensure that proposed funding would not be used for research on enbyonic stem cells or aborted babies.

Senator Ken Cuccinelli (R-37 Fairfax) will offer floor amendments that would insure that SB1338 would not allow Virginia taxpayers to pay for research that destroys unborn human life.

Action needed now.

Please contact your state senator and ask that he or she support any floor amendments to SB1338 that would prohibt Virginia state taxpayers money to be used for research on unborn human life or aborted babies.

Please go to the VSHL Virginia General Assembly website http://www.vshl.org/virginia_general_assembly.html  to get further information on SB1338 and to find out who your state senator is.

If you need further information, please contact the VSHL office.

Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of the unborn!

For life,
