Can Mitt Romney Win California?

Bill Clinton once said, "It's about the economy stupid."  If that is true Barack Obama may want to think about California again.  On October 7 Drudge posted the following images and headlines.

Anotherc day, another record in CA...

Gas stations across state run out, shut down...

'What are they doing to us?'

Obama fundraiser with Katy Perry to snarl traffic...

Paying close to $6.00 a gallon for gas will hurt anyone.  Some things demand a change. On October 10, when Obama was losing ground dramatically a poll showed Obama dropping by 8% in California.  I'm not predicting Romney will win California, but politics leads to crazy things.  Obama is slipping in practically every state.  This has to be concerning.  With the economy fundamentally weak a large wave could materialize before election day.  What do you think?  Am I too optimistic? What states will surprise us on election night?

No Hypocrisy Doesn't Exist

Remember the beginning of 2006 during the Jack Abramoff Scandal? Pictures of President Bush and Jack Abramoff surfaced, and President Bush and the Whitehouse were under fire for the "close" connections they had with Jack Abramoff. These pictures were "proof" that President Bush was corrupt.

Well today as Matt Drudge has been reporting on the arrest of Governor Blagojevich, he has put this picture at the top of his website.

It is a picture of Barack Obama and Governor Blagojevich smiling, shaking hands, and talking. I wonder if Obama will come under as much criticism as a result of this picture with Governor Blagojevich as Preisdent Bush came under as a result of the picture that surfaced of him and Jack Abramoff.

Thoughts on North Korea in light of their recent nuclear weapons tests

When Neville Chamberlain waved the treaty Adolf Hitler had signed with Britain, did he go down in history as a great diplomat?  NO!!

When LBJ, Carter and others urged apeasement with communist nations, did they go down in history as great diplomats?  NO!!

If the president and the Secretary of State get a treaty signed with the present axis powers (North Korea, Iran, and Syria) will they go down in history as great diplomats?  NO!!

When Churchill fought Germany he successfully ended the threat.

When Reagan took on Russia he successfully ended the threat.

Mr. President take on the evil of our time and don't back down!

In regards specifically to North Korea there are two good options that I have heard proposed.  1. Arm Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan to the teath, including nuclear weapons.  2.Use air planes armed with conventional weapons to take out North Korea's wmd's.

Force not diplomacy ends conflicts.
